In this video, hear from Brendan Burns, Microsoft CVP of Azure Compute and Co-Founder of Kubernetes, as he provides an overview of Azure and Kubernetes; explaining how it’s an optimal platform for developing, securing, and hosting Department of Defense (DoD) mission workloads using containers.

Presenting to a community of 700+ attendees at US Air Force Software Officer, Nicolas Chaillan’s, Ask Me Anything (AMA) series on DevSecOps for DoD, Brendan covers the technical capabilities of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)Azure RedHat OpenShift (ARO), and Azure Arc – the three main Kubernetes distribution managed services that Azure offers – and how those capabilities meet the high caliber of DoD compute, security, and observability requirements across Azure, Azure Government and Azure Government Secret (DoD Impact Level 2 through IL6), and Azure Stack Edge.

Brendan highlights the contributions of Microsoft to the Kubernetes community, as well as Microsoft’s leadership presence in the containers space, demonstrating commitment to supporting and contributing to the Kubernetes vision for government.
