PowerScripting Podcast – 3/19/08
I recently had a blast doing a interview for the PowerScripting Podcast with Hal Rottenberg and Jonathan Walz. I’ve done lots of interviews in my life and a large majority of them tend to be very dry, serious and pithy. If the person you are talking to is not a domain expert, then you have to ensure that you are not misunderstood and the way to do that is to choose each word precisely and then shut up. Contrast that with podcasts which are much more like a peer-to-peer discussion. It produces the sort of conversation you would have over a beer or cup of coffee depending on the time of day :-). (When I worked at Tivoli, we had a phrase: “Beer … it’s not just for breakfast.” ). I find these discussions to be more useful to people and certainly they are a lot more fun. I like to explain the story-behind-the-story so you get a feel for WHY things are they way they are. Anyway – if you are interested, the podcast is now available HERE.
If you haven’t dialed into the the PowerScripting Podcast yet, you should definitely give them a listen. They have lots of great content and have their fingers on the pulse of the PowerShell community. Good stuff!
