Azure IoT Workbench now supports ESP32 devices
In April this year, we released our first public preview of Azure IoT Workbench in Visual Studio Code, an IoT development environment aims to make it easy to code, build, deploy and debug your IoT project for MXChip IoT DevKit. From this one DevKit, we gradually add more popular Azure supported development kits such as teXXmo IoT Button. And now, we are happy to announce the support for ESP32 devices from Espressif. And moreover, we continued to improve the fundamentals of the product with new mini solutions added to further enrich the samples IoT developers can learn to build with their devkit devices. Check out what’s new for the latest release of IoT Workbench (0.1.9):
ESP32 Devices Support
ESP32 is among the most widely used and recognized development boards for making IoT projects with increasing popularity. With the latest version of IoT Workbench, it now supports develop Arduino based projects on ESP32 together with Azure IoT by using various templates provided.

New template for Data processing
IoT devices generate continuous streams of data so the need for processing those data is now widely realized and reflected in IoT solutions. Azure Stream Analytics is Microsoft’s serverless real-time analytics offering for complex event processing. With the new template, IoT Workbench users could easily unlock valuable insights and gain competitive advantage by analyzing IoT telemetry data.
