I downloaded the patch and tried to apply this on my server, but I’m unable to install the patch as I’m receiving a message that the indicates “A setup package is either missing or damaged”.
This happens after I’ve clicked the Install button from the Azure DevOps Server 2019 Update 1.2 dialog box.
I also tried to use your command line parameter to verify if the patch is installed “devops2019.1.2patch10.exe CheckInstall” and I get a dialog box indicating that this is not one of the supported switches for the .exe.
Hi Brad, is your install up to date with the latest patches? Can you check the version of the following file: [INSTALL_DIR]Azure DevOps Server 2019Application TierWeb ServicesbinMicrosoft.VisualStudio.Services.Feed.Server.dll and share the file version. Azure DevOps Server 2019 is installed to c:Program FilesAzure DevOps Server 2019 by default.
okay. The version is 17.153.32407.5.
I’ve been checking the version of the file C:\Program Files\Azure DevOps Server 2019\Tools\Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Admin.dll to ensure I was at the latest. This file is versioned at 17.153.34812.2, which is one patch behind, patch 9 of 1.2 that was released back in May 2024.
I still have that patches exe, I ran the CheckInstall and it states “Logging going to ‘C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Azure DevOps\Server Configuration\Logs\Patch_2025-03-25_15-23-40.log’ Patch 17.153.34812.2 found in registry, it is installed.”
Hi Gloridel
Thank you for the updates!
Can you elaborate on the problems that 2022.2 Patch 4 fixes in relation to CDN deprecation mentioned in the release notes. We don’t see any issues at them moment, but what would happen if we do not apply this patch?
The .net install step will fail sometimes in the future
