Running a high scale TFS server

Brian Harry
Corporate Vice President

Grant Holliday, recently wrote a post on managing TFS servers.  Grant has a colorful history.  I first met him when he joined the Team Foundation Server MVP program.  He was so knowledgeable and helpful that I eventually offered him a position on my team to help us manage internal adoption of TFS (over 45,000 people today).  He was a Program Manager for a few years but decided to move back home to Australia.  He moved to work in MCS and Premier support, helping customers with ALM practices and TFS.  6 months or so ago, I reached out to Grant again and asked if he’d be willing to work on our team again to help bring a global presence to Team Foundation Service. Through all of this experience, both in the TFS team and outside it, Grant has built up considerable expertise in managing TFS servers.  In fact, he’s helped author a couple of books on the subject. In encourage you to check out his books and the blog post I referenced above.  He’s got some great knowledge to share.
