Bringing Communities Together: Xamarin MVPs Join Microsoft MVPs

Jayme Singleton

The Xamarin MVP Program and Microsoft MVP Award Program share a common bond in recognizing leaders who make outstanding contributions to our technical communities. In the last year, we’ve taken steps to bring our communities closer together, by making Xamarin University and Microsoft MSDN benefits available to all members of both programs, as well as recognizing Microsoft MVPs for their work with Xamarin.

With such similarity between the two programs, and to move forward in our mission to recognize the very best community leaders, it’s now time to focus our attention on advancing together.

Today, we’re pleased to announce an exciting transition to integrate Xamarin MVPs into the Microsoft MVP Award Program! Starting today, all currently active Xamarin MVPs will be recognized as Microsoft MVPs under the Visual Studio and Development Technologies award category.

The newly awarded Microsoft MVPs will have access to all benefits of the program, including technical subscriptions, direct connection to Microsoft product groups, and the exclusive opportunity to attend the Global MVP Summit. All of this is part of our ongoing commitment to foster a strong and vibrant community by providing new learning opportunities and continuing to support everyone’s growth as technical experts.

These benefits and more are available to elite developer leaders nominated for the Microsoft MVP Award for their technical contributions to the community. If that sounds like you or someone you know, then be sure to nominate yourself or a community influencer today!

The MVP Award program is constantly evolving. This merger will strengthen the entire MVP community and bring our technical leaders closer together by uniting these two amazing groups of influencers. Here’s to an even stronger community, and to more amazing contributions to come!
