The Visual Studio family welcomes you at Microsoft Build 2021

Sachin Thakur

Come join us at Microsoft Build, our largest developer conference, to explore what’s new in tech. This year, Build will be kicking off at 8:30 AM Pacific Time on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 (see in your time zone). You can expect an event packed with exciting product announcements, live keynotes, breakout sessions with cool demos, and Q&A with experts from different product teams, available across multiple time zones.

If you haven’t registered yet, be sure to visit the Build homepage to register for free and explore the agenda and session details.

We know this past year has been challenging for everyone, including developers. We’re working harder than ever to give developers tools and services to increase their productivity – for any language and any platform. At Build this year, we’ve lined up an awesome set of sessions covering the Visual Studio family, GitHub, and .NET. Whether you are a beginner developer looking to learn or an experienced developer looking to enhance your skillset, come learn, connect, and code with us at this digital event.

Here’s the list of sessions for Visual Studio, VS Code, and .NET teams at Build that we encourage you to attend.

I’m not able to find “Container-Based Development with Visual Studio Code” and “What’s new with TypeScript” in the session list. Are they still planned?

Yes, they are. The sessions, which don’t have links in the blog, are not listed in the Build session catalog but these segments will be streamed in between various breakout sessions. I would recommend tuning into the Build livestream at the start time of these sessions as listed in the table. I hope this helps.

Hey Sachin, do you have a link for the livestream?

I was a bit worried at the lack of any sessions specifically on VS 2022 when searching through the schedule on the website earlier, but that’s great to hear there’s an unlisted “What’s coming in the first preview of Visual Studio 2022” session. Really looking forward to that – I suspect that’s going to a popular one!

I was also surprised that there wasn’t session about VS 2022 but hopefully it had changed. Definitely it will be interesting session and maybe we will know more when the 2022 preview version will be released. The first announcement mentioned the summer so we could speculate that the final version will be released at the end 2021 or at the beginning of 2022.
