Summary: Use a Windows PowerShell function to find running scheduled tasks on your computer running Windows 8.

Hey, Scripting Guy! Question How can I find information about running scheduled tasks on my computer running Windows 8?

Hey, Scripting Guy! Answer Use the Get-ScheduledTask function and pipe the resulting list to the Where-Object to identify a running state. Choose a couple of properties such as taskname and state. The following command illustrates this technique.

Get-ScheduledTask | select taskname, state | ? state -eq running
