Summary: Microsoft Scripting Guy, Ed Wilson, talks about day three at the Scripting Guys booth at TechEd 2014 in Houston, Texas.

Today the crowds at the Scripting Guys booth continued. Windows PowerShell MVPs, Don Jones, Steve Murawski, Teresa Wilson, and Sean Kearney were on hand at different times.

One of the common questions today was about using Windows PowerShell to work with printers…installing printer drivers, configuring printer ports, and connections. Many people came by to say thank you for writing the Hey, Scripting Guy! Blog, or to get their book signed.

Marc Adam Carter had a good conversation with a couple of people who were talking about their diverse roles in their jobs and about available resources. There are different challenges in working with Exchange Server, printers, and other things. If you are a small company or a large company, the essential issues are the same: delegation, controlling access, and configuring resources.

Marc does a lot of work with SharePoint; therefore, he was able to answer a bunch of questions about SharePoint. For example, questions about automating from the client, and managing the SharePoint infrastructure.

Many questions today were about versioning and about  source control. It seems that the IT community is beginning to become interested in this functionality.

Windows PowerShell MVP, Steve Murawaski, participated in TechEd Speaker Idol, and he said the experience was great. He really appreciated the directed feedback. Here Steve and Jaap are discussing the process.
