Microsoft Scripting Guy, Ed Wilson, is here. Today, I have an exciting announcement! Drum roll please: dadadadadadada…CLING! Yes, for the second time ever, we have more official Honorary Scripting Guys! Yes, that’s right. What does it take to become an official Honorary Scripting Guy? It takes an extreme commitment to the scripting community, a remarkable dedication helping to spread the good word about Windows PowerShell, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in producing exceptional content. Let me tell you a little bit about each of these scripting stalwarts. We will begin at the top of the list and work our way down. Or, to put it another way, we will begin with Boe and conclude with Teresa.
Boe Prox
Boe Prox is currently a Senior Systems Administrator with BAE Systems. He has been in the IT industry since 2003 and has spent the past 4 years working with VBScript and Windows PowerShell and now looks to script whatever he can, whenever he can. He is also a moderator on the Official Scripting Guys Forum. His current Windows PowerShell projects are PoshWSUS, PoshPAIG, and PoshChat.

Niklas Goude
Niklas Goude is an author, trainer, and technical consultant for TrueSec in Sweden. Niklas specializes in the Microsoft environment, focusing on Active Directory, SQL Server, and SharePoint products and technologies. Most of his daily work is performed by using Windows PowerShell. He is also active as a trainer—teaching courses that are focused on Windows PowerShell—and he has been a speaker at various conferences, such as Microsoft Tech Days, SharePoint & Exchange Forum, and SharePoint conferences in Australia and New Zealand. Niklas is active within the Windows PowerShell community, acting as a moderator for the Official Scripting Guys Forum and as an expert at http://secretsofsharepoint.com. He wrote PowerShell for SharePoint 2010 Administrators with Mattias Karlsson, a former colleague, and an ebook about Windows PowerShell (in Swedish), Kom igang med PowerShell, which covers the fundamentals of Windows PowerShell and can be downloaded for free. Niklas contributes to the Windows PowerShell community by sharing scripts, guides, and ideas through his blog. Niklas lives in Stockholm, Sweden, with his wife, Anna, his collection of guitars, and a lot of computers.

Jeffery Hicks
Jeffery Hicks is a Microsoft MVP in Windows PowerShell, Microsoft Certified Trainer, and an IT veteran with 20 years of experience, much of it spent as an IT consultant specializing in Microsoft server technologies. He works today as an independent author, trainer, and consultant. Jeff writes the popular Prof. PowerShell column for MCPMag.com and is a regular contributor to the Petri IT Knowledgebase. If he isn’t writing books, then he’s most likely recording training videos for companies like TrainSignal or hanging out in the forums at www.PowerShell.org.

Marco Shaw
Marco is a consultant with CGI in Moncton. He has been working in the IT industry for over 12 years—also working for Bell Aliant and Atlantic Lottery. He was awarded the Microsoft MVP award for his contributions to the Windows PowerShell community in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. His recent authoring activities have included writing Windows PowerShell content for a Windows Server 2008 book published by Microsoft Press and writing a Windows PowerShell-related article on System Center Operations Manager 2007 for TechNet Magazine. He also provided Windows PowerShell content for a SQL Server 2008 book by SAMs publishing company and for a just released revised edition of System Center Operations Manager 2007 Unleashed by SAMs. He also coauthored the 2nd edition of Windows PowerShell Unleashed published by SAMs, which was released early in 2009. He has spoken at Microsoft TechDays in Halifax, Canada, the last two years where he has delivered sessions on System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows PowerShell.
Richard Siddaway
Richard said the following about himself:
I have been working with Microsoft technologies for over 22 years, having spent time in most IT roles including analyst-programmer, server administration, support, DBA, and architect. I have been interested in automation techniques (including automating job creation and submission on mainframes many years ago). I have been using VBScript and WMI since it became available on Windows NT4. Windows PowerShell caught my interest when I first heard about it, and I have been using it since the early beta versions. My blogging is mainly about Windows PowerShell. I founded and run the UK PowerShell user group, and I am a Windows PowerShell MVP. I have given numerous talks on Windows PowerShell at various events, and I have had a number of articles about Windows PowerShell published. Jeremy Engel
Jeremy works in the health care industry as a lead systems engineer and architect, promoting new technologies and helping drive their acceptance and implementation. Being a fanatic of efficiency and automation, he also focuses on developing programs and scripts to ease the burden of administration for himself, his colleagues, and the community. Jeremy’s proudest contributions to this world are his three wonderful children, who together with his beautiful wife live in the bustling metropolis of Oak Ridge, North Carolina.
Doug Finke
Doug Finke, author of Windows PowerShell for Developers and Microsoft PowerShell MVP, works in New York City for Lab49, a company that builds advanced applications for the financial service industry. Doug is a developer, author, and speaker working with numerous technologies.

Jason Hofferle
Jason Hofferle has been an IT professional since 1997. His experience includes enterprise desktop engineering for a Fortune 500 financial institution and Active Directory design for local governments and law enforcement. Jason currently works for the Defense Contract Management Agency, where he implements new technology as a member of the Architecture/Infrastructure design team. He regularly speaks about Windows PowerShell at SQL Saturday and IT Pro Camp events in Florida, and frequently attends the Tampa PowerShell User Group.

Brian Wilhite
Brian Wilhite works as a Windows System Administrator for a large health care provider in North Carolina. He has over 15 years of experience in IT. In his current capacity as a Windows SysAdmin, he leads a team of individuals that have responsibilities for Microsoft Exchange, Windows Server Build, Management and System Performance. Brian also supports and participates in the Charlotte PowerShell Users Group.

Teresa Wilson
Teresa Wilson, aka The Scripting Wife, is well known in the Windows PowerShell community for her encouragement of new scripters and her enthusiasm for helping in any way she can. She has been a student of Windows PowerShell and used as an example in the last two Scripting Games purely to help beginners and encourage others to participate. She also helps with the administrative work in the Charlotte PowerShell User Group with leader Windows PowerShell MVP Jim Christopher. One other contribution she makes is as the booking agent for the guests on the PowerScripting Podcast with Windows PowerShell MVPs Hal Rottenberg and Jonathan Walz. Her newest project is helping promote www.PowerShell.org and especially www.PowerShell.org/summit. Of course, we all know her main role is keeping me organized.
