Hosting an Angular Progressive Web Application (PWA) with Azure

Developer Support

Progressive Web Applications might just be the future of web development. In this post, Wael Kdouh shows how to deploy an Angular PWA to Azure, including some potential pitfalls to watch out for.

In his blog post, Wael introduces the popularity of Progressive Web Applications and how to deploy them to Azure.

He writes “In this post I will show you how you can deploy an Angular PWA application to Azure. I won’t show you the detailed steps to build the CI/CD pipeline on VSTS which in turn deploys to Azure as I have already discussed it in a previous post which can be found here. Instead I will focus on some of the pitfalls that you may face while attempting to deploy a Angular PWA application to Azure as it may be tricky to new comers to PWA and mobile development in general. Finally, I will test the application on an Android device running Oreo with the latest version of Chrome. I did not test it on IOS since I did not have access to the latest technical preview of Safari which introduced support for PWA but I will address it in future posts.”
