Stay in sync with Microsoft Loop

At Ignite 2021, we shared our vision of Microsoft Loop, a new app that offers flexible, portable, interactive Loop components that can operate in real time not only within the announced Microsoft Loop app but also across other apps like Teams, Outlook and OneNote. Learn more about the Teams integration which is already available for customers.

Microsoft Loop generated considerable excitement in the press and among our customers. Our developer community is also asking about building Microsoft Loop components. Well, we are still working on our developer story for Microsoft Loop components. It’s on our roadmap and we will share it with you as soon as it becomes available.

Microsoft Loop is built and powered by Fluid Framework which is the core technology that enables seamless data synchronization, real time collaboration and is open sourced.

In terms of 3P extensibility, we are now focused on lower-level data synchronization capabilities and enabling real time collaboration with client-side Fluid Framework data libraries and the Azure Fluid Relay service. It’s lightweight with zero server code and built for low latency so you can focus on building your client experiences. We announced availability of Azure Fluid Relay service for public preview at Ignite and we would love to hear your feedback.
