The Activity Feed is one of the most frequently used sections in Microsoft Teams. It is a place where users can quickly access important notifications, like @ mentions and reactions. With the new Microsoft Teams Activity Feed APIs now available in preview on Microsoft Graph, developers can build and surface engaging, actionable content from their own apps in the Microsoft Teams Activity Feed. This can help ensure an app’s users are notified of and engaged with relevant activities. 

Using these new APIs, developers can now insert a notification into users’ activity feeds. Users can then click directly on these notifications and go directly into their application.  

The screenshot below shows how Yammer’s app generates notifications in the Activity Feed.
