dotnetConf is back, this Wednesday

.NET Team

dotnetConf is a free, 2 day virtual event co-organized by the .NET community and Microsoft, and it’s this Wednesday! As you can guess by its name, it’s dedicated to your favorite development platform, .NET. Grab a comfortable chair, a pot of your favorite hot (or cold) beverage and a mind to fill with all the latest .NET product and community news. The dotnetConf team has been planning the event for a few months now. We’ve got a great show ready for you.

Two Days of Talks

This is the 3rd dotnetConf. This time around, we’re using a two-day thematic format, on March 18th and 19th. Check out the dotnetConf agenda.

Day 1 (10 talks) – .NET Product Teams

Join us for the latest on the updates to .NET with the developers and program managers who are building the framework. Ask the questions that you always wanted to know more about to the engineers and influencers who build it.

Sampling of talks:

  • Intro to ASP.NET 5
  • The .NET Open Source Voyage
  • WPF in 4.6 and beyond

Day 2 (9 talks) – Community .NET developers.

A whole day is dedicated to .NET related projects created by the community, partners and other Microsoft groups (e.g. Halo).

Sampling of talks:

  • Building Cross-Platform Apps with Xamarin and Xamarin.Forms
  • Halo: Website Evolved
  • ASP.NET Project Scaffolding with Yeoman

Joining the dotnetConf

To attend the dotnetConf you just need to browse to or during the two days of the conference. You can ask questions via the Channel9 Live Q&A during the talks. The speakers will be able to see your questions and will answer as many of them as they can.

There will be a lively conversation on twitter, too. Please use the #dotnetconf hash tag on twitter so that everyone can follow the conversation.

Check out dotnetConf 2014

While you are waiting for dotnetConf 2015, you can check out the talks from dotnetConf 2014. The Future of C# is a favorite of the 2014 conference.
