    Good morning Gloridel,

    I work in the DoD space and maintain an on prem instance of AzDevOps. My question for you and the community is when will AzDevOps support FIPS 140-2? I currently have FIPS disabled however Its CAT 1 finding so I was wondering if there are any plans to correct this issue? We are unable to connect to the cloud so we must continue to use our on-prem instance. Please advise....

    Hi Gloridel,

    Apologies, I’m new to DevOps patching and wondered if you could answer the following?

    We are currently running 2020.1.2 Patch 6 and I’m looking at applying Patch 14.

    1) I take it I don’t need to apply Patches 7 onwards, they are all rolled up into Patch 14?
    2) Do I need to apply the Azure Pipelines agent updates mentioned in Patch 8 before applying Patch 14?

    Regards,

    Paul

    Hi Gloridel,
    We have 2022.1 (Version Azure DevOps Server 2022.1 (AzureDevopsServer_20240605.1)) installed and this update does not install for us. None of he patches mentioned in this post are valid for our installation. Did we miss a step in the upgrade process?
    Kind regards,
    Dave White

    Ms Morales:

    My installation of Azure DevOps Server was created with these 5 actions:

    1) I installed the "base" Azure DevOps Server 2022, Update 1 ISO in Dec 2023 (Azure DevOps Server 2022.1)
    2) In Dec, 2023, I applied Azure DevOps Server 2022.1 Patch 1
    3) In Feb, 2024, I applied Azure DevOps Server 2022.1 Patch 2
    4) In Mar, 2024, I applied Azure DevOps Server 2022.1 Patch 3
    5) In Jun, 2024, I applied Azure DevOps...

    Hi Gloridel,

    why does Azure DevOps Server 2020.1.2 Patch 14 have a file version number (19.225.35005.1) matching 2022.2 version instead of the 2020.1.2 Patch 13 (18.181….)?

      Hi Daniel, thank you for reporting this issue. There was an error with the published URL and it has been fixed. The file version should be 18.181.35425.2.

      Something seems off. When I run

      <code>

      I get "Azure DevOps Server is not installed on machine." and references the same version (19.225.35005.1) that Daniel indicated. As he points out, the 19 for the major version looks wrong. If it's checking the registry for that version number... would make sense it doesn't think DevOps is installed. If I check on the prior patch,

      <code>

      I see "Patch 18.181.34705.3 found in registry, it is installed." This is expected and...

    Hi Gloridel,

    do you have any further details for ADo2022.2 Patch2? The Release Notes just saying “…to include an upgrade to a vulnerable dependency.”
    That’s not very much information about the content.

    Thx & best regards,
    Christian
