Yes, I know it’s hard to believe it’s time again already. Didn’t we just have all those big announcements – Git support, Test Hub, Work item tags…? Yes. We had last sprint’s deployment on Jan 21, then all the big announcements on Jan 30 and now it’s time for sprint 43! As you can probably guess all of the new features we announced on Jan 30 were deployed on Jan 21 and just hidden behind feature flags – in fact, some of them were deployed a sprint or two earlier than that even. Much of what we unveiled on the 30th was very cool but not really finished. Our plan is to iterate quickly on it get it to a reasonably complete state. This sprint was reflective of that. You can read the details on the sprint “news” post. Among my favorites this sprint are:
- Some very nice enhancements to the web based test hub that include inline screenshots and pause/resume
- Continuous integration builds for Git repos
With this sprint, the customizable kanban column work is deployed to the service but only enabled for a few early adopters. I’m expecting we’ll enable it for everyone at the end of sprint 44, once we’ve got a little mileage on it. I expect the velocity is going to slow down for the next sprint as much of our effort is focused on bug fixing and testing for VS/TFS Update 2. When we have news, I’ll be sure to let you know.
