droidcon Berlin and Surface Duo video collection
Hello Android developers!
This week we were inspired by a forum question about interesting Surface Duo media content and provide a variety of different video and audio resources where you can learn more about Surface Duo, foldable devices, and dual-screen Android app development! If you want to chat in person, we’ll also be at these upcoming droidcon events:
- droidcon New York – 1-2nd September
- droidcon London – 27-28th October

droidcon Berlin
During July 6-8 we had the pleasure to participate in droidcon Berlin. We spent three fantastic days meeting the Android community where we presented the libraries, samples, apps and emulator that our team has built to help developers enhance their apps for foldable devices.
Of course, our fantastic Surface Duo device was also available forattendees to use and understand how a dual-screen device can boost productivity and enhance the customer experience.
Microsoft also participated as a sponsor at droidcon SF, a few weeks before the Berlin event whereour team had a booth to showcase how developers can enhance their apps for dual-screen devices and pick up some cool Surface Duo swag!

On the second day we presented our session The Age of Large Screen and Foldables which is now available to watch online!

The third day of the event was a community day, and we were invited to participate in a community driven panel talk about Android at scale. Since Microsoft has hundreds of developers working on Android, we had a few things to tell and contribute on this topic.
