Windows IT Pro magazine awarded PowerShell the Best of Tech-Ed Award in its category last night. PowerShell won on the basis of strategic importance to the market, competitive advantage and value to the customers. It’s wonderful to see the superstars on the PowerShell team get the recognition they deserve for their incredible hard work and innovation that resulted in PowerShell V1.0. Most of us came to work at Microsoft for one reason – to have an opportunity to change the world. In six months since we release, we’ve had nearly a million downloads and won Best of Tech-Ed, that feels like a pretty reasonable start on that goal. SNOOPY DANCE!!!!!! And if you thought V1.0 was exciting, you should see what the team is working on for the next release! They are totally jazzed about the new features. (We’ll probably have a public technology preview sometime before the end of the year and you’ll get all the details then. ) Jeffrey Snover [MSFT] Windows Management Partner Architect Visit the Windows PowerShell Team blog at: http://blogs.msdn.com/PowerShell Visit the Windows PowerShell ScriptCenter at: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/hubs/msh.mspx
