Yesterday, Bruce Payette and I delivered a talk on System Center Foundation Technologies which covered WMI, BITS, WSMAN, PowerShell Engine and the CLI/Scripting experience.  What we did was to walk System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)’s architecture and then highlight how it uses these technologies to do its magic.  For each component we discussed its

  • Role of the technology
  • Availability(e.g. which platforms it was available on)
  • Future
  • Benefits
  • Effect on application architecture
  • Where to get more information.

Attached is the deck.
