We are excited to announce that both Microsoft Graph PowerShell and CLI now have Microsoft set as the verified publisher! We would like to thank you all for your feedback to keep us driving towards this goal. We acknowledge it has taken longer than expected but are glad to get here today. This marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing robust and secure tools for customers managing Microsoft 365 services.
What this means for you
Verification is more than just a badge – it’s a promise of quality and security. With the verified Microsoft Graph PowerShell and CLI, you can seamlessly integrate and manage your Microsoft 365 services with the assurance that you’re working with a tool that meets Microsoft’s standards for functionality and security.
The app that supports Graph PowerShell and CLI will now have a Microsoft Corporation verified badge in place of the previous “unverified” tag.
Actions required
1. No impact for users who have registered their own Entra (formerly Azure AD) app for PowerShell
If you’re using your own registered Entra (former Azure AD) app, your experience will remain unaffected by this migration. Therefore, no action is required on your part.
2. Potential impact for some scenarios for users with dependency on “Microsoft Graph Command Line Tools” App:
If you use Microsoft Graph PowerShell and CLI with the “Microsoft Graph Command Line Tools” app (i.e. without registering your own Entra app), you could potentially need to reauthenticate.
The journey
The road to verification was thorough. Our aim was to achieve this without disrupting customers’ services, ensuring seamless and secure integration with your Microsoft 365 environment.
