.NET 6 Launches at .NET Conf, November 9-11

.NET Conf is a FREE, 3 day virtual developer event organized by the .NET community and Microsoft. Next week .NET 6 will launch at .NET Conf 2021! We’re back in the studios this year and we have a lot of fun packed into the three days of learning. Come celebrate and learn about the new release. You won’t want to miss it.

Save the date

Over the course of these three days, there is a variety of live sessions that feature speakers from the community and .NET teams. We have sessions streaming all day and night between day two and day three of the conference, so everyone can get involved regardless of your time zone. You can join in the fun by interacting with our hosts and asking questions live on Twitter to our speakers. Sponsors are also hosting two virtual attendee parties where you can win prizes by answering .NET trivia questions and solving technical challenges. Best of all, you can take what you learn here and become a better .NET developer.

Conference-at-a-Glance

We will be broadcasting 80+ live sessions with the last 24 hours featuring speakers in their local time zones around the world. We will be syndicating on www.dotnetconf.net, Microsoft Learn TV, .NET YouTube channel and the Visual Studio Twitch channel.

The Keynote will kick off at 8AM Pacific Time on November 9^th with Scott Hunter and team showing you all the new things you can do with .NET 6.

Day 2 – November 10 Day two is where we dive deeper into all the things you can do with .NET and our 24 hour broadcast begins with community speakers around the world.

.NET Conf Community Events

We’re also supporting community-run local events to help spread the word about the .NET 6 release. We have partnered with organizers around the globe to bring you community events between November 9, 2021 and January 31, 2022. These events can be in person or virtual depending on local area health and safety guidelines. Join your fellow developers in your local time zone and language to learn even more about .NET 6.

.Net 6.0 is a big step forward. It’s a very capable framework. But, will final version of Visual Studio 2022 be native on MacOS M1 chip ?

Woohoo! I've been building a Blazor server-side application for two years and am getting so very close to making an announcement. I was hoping to get in on the .NET6 hype train but it will have to wait another month or so.

BUT... I will say, the development cycle is SO awesome now. After a few hitches, my entire solution of 100+ projects is on .NET6+C#10+VS2022 and is AMAZING... I am really able...

Woohoo! I’ve been building a Blazor server-side application for two years and am getting so very close to making an announcement. I was hoping to get in on the .NET6 hype train but it will have to wait another month or so.

BUT… I will say, the development cycle is SO awesome now. After a few hitches, my entire solution of 100+ projects is on .NET6+C#10+VS2022 and is AMAZING… I am really able to put things together very quickly now in Blazor/Razor views and, of course, all the new language syntax sugar is exactly that. YUMMMMMMMM!!! For instance, today I put in multi-factor authentication like it was a CRUD view, LOL. Turns out it’s built-in to ASP.NETCore and has been for some time now, but still… super sweet, yo.

However, all that candy IMO is not the best part of the current .NET development space. The best part is when something goes wrong we’re able to report it to developercommunity where EACH AND EVERY TICKET is seen and handled. Now that doesn’t mean it’s a promise that it will get fixed — although a LOT of mine have! — but you get a bonafide feeling that everyone there really truly cares about their products and wants to see this win. BIG TIME.

Anyways, had to share my respect and appreciation to everyone responsible for .NET/6. It is truly an amazing piece of real technology. I am honored to be able to use to not only build an application out of it but have an opportunity to establish a startup business upon it as well. I cannot thank you enough and can’t wait to show you what I’ve built courtesy of all your amazing efforts over there. <3
