MS need to hire more devs to help with MAUI.
There’s something like 8 devs working and creating PRs to fix this nitghmare of bugs.
The bots close automatically issues provided without an sample repro. This not engage the community
What innovations are currently underway in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning within the .NET platform?
Does Microsoft plan to create a platform like Kaggle or Google Colab so that we can use (and learn) ML.Net or TensorFlow.net, with GPUs for free?
Great idea, i would also like to learn and use ml.net in my projects in the more engaging way, in future planning explore if there is any way to use ml.net to use in some of power shell scripts to predict/infer exception to categorize issues (btw i am using scripts as scheduler jobs for handling Sharepoint online files ).
I would love to see more of what is put into VS Code to also be available in Visual Studio, as a paid product. Lots of functionality is available in VS Code that is not available in VS Pro/Enterprise. What is the road forward for the two product lines?
sadly the call to “engage” because .net conf isn’t just about learning, seems once again rather one sided

thats not how you “engage” with the community…
I’m interested in anything Blazor!
Blazor and easy to customize Identity UI
I wonder if they can stabilize .NET MAUI until then. This thing is a nightmare to use – every release introduces new regressions 🤮
I’ll be looking forward to seeing what Daniel, Steve and the rest of the ASP.NET team have to show off for Blazor. 💖
I’m hoping the EF team also does a session.
News I am looking out for
Visual Studio 2024?
MAUI General Availability (Second Attempt)?
MAUI web/linux?
Mono gets replaced by .Net?
WinUI 3.0 shouldn’t be used, but instead always use MAUI? or WinUI 3.1?
winget/package manager integrated part of windows?
Avalonia UI is the only one that is done correctly with its rendering back-end. (its only flaw has been poor IDE integration which is being addressed).
WinUI 3.x, MAUI, etc have almost zero value. I would sooner use Unity3D for the rendering back-end with a custom XAML UI system than use what MS is trying to push here. WinUI only makes sense on Windows like Cocoa only makes sense on macOS.
.NET AOT for more platforms...
Hopefully some of these will be addressed in the .NET 9 timeframe.
For Visual Studio 2024/25 I’d really like to see Microsoft dog food their own latest tech and upgrade the IDE from .NET Framework to .NET 8/9. Failing that, I’d settle for project/solution rename (that renames the folders).
VS in .net 8/9 would be my #1 request.
