New Boards Hub, Sprint 210 Update
We spent most of sprint 210 focusing on accessibility issues and bug fixes. Here is a list of the items that have been resolved.
|Unable to create a branch from card||Not able to create a new branch via actions menu on the work item card.|
|Missing resize bards||Column resize bars are missing on the backlog page for rollup columns.|
|Filter icon||Filter icon does not change to indicate if the filter is applied or not.|
|Adding new parent link changes to child||When creating a new feature and adding a link to the parent Epic, the relationship gets reversed.|
|Show more items on recycle bin||Show more items link is not clickable on the Recycle bin page.|
|Query results scrolling||Create a query that returns more than two hundred items. Sometimes you get odd flashes when scrolling through the results.|
|Disable “New item” links for new work items||Create a new work item and then try and add new item links before saving the work item.|
|Delete shared query errors||Delete a shared query and get an “Operation failed: Query item not found” error.|
|Saving Definition of Done issues||Unable to save an empty definition of done. Display issues when using mark down lists.|
|Multiple accessibility issues with Boards||Kanban board has many accessibility announcement and behavior issues.|
Note: Although these items are fixed, they may not be released to all organizations yet. Rollout can take a few days to a couple weeks.
What is next?
Starting the week of September 19th, we will be adding a “Try the New Boards Hub” banner and popup to the legacy boards experience. This is our first step in gaining awareness of what is to come. We will continue to monitor the telemetry and feedback before taking any further steps.
We also plan on releasing a couple features that are “New Boards Hub” only. Keep in eye on the features timeline for more information.

Do you still accept bug reports here?
1, queries in a subfolder are not in alphabetic order
2, Last modified by column ignores the user’s date format settings
– my format is dd-MM-yyyy, yet I see m/d/yyyy
3, folder can expanded/collapsed with double click instead of a single click (this one is probably by design).
On work item edit form
1, user’s date format settings are ignored in Date/Time fields, Links, History, Attachment – basicly everywhere I saw.
2, In the Development section, when there is a one-line link, the Delete link icon (X) is slipped out on the bottom. (On my WI, a Branch has one-line text.)

Great work! Is September 19th the correct date for introducing the banner?
The rollout of the banner is going to be staggered. We already have it rolled out to a set of accounts and now have some bugs to fix. Once we get those fixed, it will be enabled on the next set. I expect the introduction of the banner to rollout over 3-4 weeks.
