Session Abstract:
The ability to deliver high quality applications that add value to business is dependent on the Application Lifecycle Management implemented. Agile/Scrum provide the processes to deliver your applications and Team Foundation Server provides the tooling to support and communicate your processes.
This session will look into the features provided by TFS that will enhance the development processes by giving the required governance and tools that are needed for enterprise software development projects. TFS vNext will be included in the tooling discussion and some demonstrations.
This session will cover guidance in the following areas:
- Feature guidance to use TFS across the whole ALM platform
- New Source Control Features
- Release and sprint planning with work items
- Build Automation
- Continuous integration
- Working with large teams
- New features in TFS vNext
Registration and breakfast will commence at 8:15am, followed by the presentation at 8:30am sharp.

Brett Maytom has been working in the IT industry for the past 22 years and has attained many certifications, including Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Solution Developer (MCSD), System Engineer + Internet (MCSE), Database Administrator (MCDBA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
Brett has architected, designed and implemented several enterprise scale solutions for large organisations. He has been involved in leading development teams using various software development lifecycles, frameworks and methodologies.
Brett has also been an active Scrum Master, coach and mentor on various Scrum and agile projects. He has successfully managed large project release planning, large distributed teams and assisted lead Scrum-of-scrums. Brett is an active speaker on Scrum at community events and user groups.
