Today we are releasing patches that impact our self-hosted product, Azure DevOps Server.
We strongly encourage and recommend that all customers use the latest, most secure release of Azure DevOps Server. You can download the latest version of the product, Azure DevOps Server 2022.2 from the Azure DevOps Server download page.
Azure DevOps Server 2020.1.2 Patch 17
If you have Azure DevOps Server 2020.1.2, you should install Azure DevOps Server 2020.1.2 Patch 17 to have the most secure and updated product experience.
With this patch we are fixing a null reference exception in the multi-repo trigger functionality when there are no resource repositories defined in the YAML pipeline.
Verifying Installation
Run devops2020.1.2patch17.exe CheckInstall
, devops2020.1.2patch17.exe
is the file that is downloaded from the link above. The output of the command will either say that the patch has been installed, or that it is not installed.

The latest version is 2022.2, isn’t it? I can only see a patch for 2022.1.2 and not for 2022.2, have I missed something or am I misunderstanding your post?
Hi Markus, in July we only released a patch for Azure DevOps Server 2020.1.2. Azure DevOps Server 2022.2 already included the changes we are releasing with this patch, hence no need release additional changes/patches for 2022.2. I have updated the post to help clarifry and thanks for pointing this out.
