In this episode of the Azure Government video series, Steve Michelotti, Principal Program Manager talks with Kevin Mack, Cloud Solution Architect, supporting State and Local Government at Microsoft, about Terraform on Azure Government. Kevin begins by describing what Terraform is, as well as explaining advantages of using Terraform over Azure Resource Manager (ARM), including the ability to do “what if” scenarios with Terraform’s plan feature. Kevin discusses the simplified syntax of Terraform and the features of multiple cloud providers. Kevin shows multiple demos of Terraform starting with a simple example provisioning Azure Storage, followed by a more complex example provisioning a variety of resources including higher-level PaaS services.
