OpenShift on Azure Government

Steve Michelotti
Principal Program Manager

In this episode of the Azure Government video series, Steve Michelotti sits down with Jamie Duncan, a Cloud Solutions Architect from Red Hat, to talk about OpenShift on Azure Government.

OpenShift is an Enterprise grade application platform for containers with Kubernetes. The discussion begins with Jamie outlining some of the benefits that OpenShift can bring to a CI/CD pipeline, as well as the value that OpenShift can bring to enable the mission more efficiently. Jamie then shows a demo of migrating a legacy Java application, with a CI/CD Jenkins pipeline, to Azure Government utilizing OpenShift in a “lift and shift” scenario such that the application can be easily moved without changing any code. He then shows a PHP app deployed to Azure Government while discussing how you could integrate with Azure PaaS services.
