About the Azure Government DC User Community: The Azure Gov DC User Community was created as a place to bring together professionals interested in learning about government innovation especially around cloud computing technologies and capabilities. It is open to the community and a non-sales environment, with a goal of sharing best practices. It is a free and open event.
It was launched in February 2016 by Karina Homme, Azure Government, Microsoft; and Vishwas Lele, CTO of AIS and Microsoft Azure MVP. The community hosts Meetups monthly at 1776 and draws an average of 80 government and industry attendees per event. We also live broadcast, reaching an additional 200+ people.
