To keep up with our country’s pace of innovation and ensure mission success, government agencies are under more pressure than ever to accelerate their IT modernization projects (and for some, just get them off the ground!). As agencies incur various challenges in their progress, they might be wondering if there’s an easy button for modernization.
To explore successful strategies and hear practical execution tips for IT modernization, we invite you to RSVP and join us Wednesday, March 27 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. for a Microsoft Azure Government DC meetup, Is there an easy button for gov IT modernization?, at 1776 in Crystal City, Virginia.
During this meetup, government and industry experts will share their knowledge and experience on cloud and IT modernization in government. Featured topics and speakers include:
Update on Department of Homeland Security Cloud and IT Modernization Strategy
Kshemendra Paul, Cloud Action Officer & Deputy Director, CIO Strategy and Mission, Department of Homeland Security |
|
Designing a Secure and Scalable Hybrid Cloud Framework
James Pilgrim, lead, Cloud Center of Excellence Lead, T-Rex Solutions, LLC |
|
Demo: Harnessing the Power of PaaS Services for IT Modernization

We hope you will RSVP to join us – and be sure to invite your colleagues and connections, too. In addition to engaging discussions, there will be excellent networking opportunities and refreshments during this meetup which is free and open to the public.
About the Azure Government user community
The Azure Government DC user community was created as a place to bring together professionals interested in learning about government innovation especially around cloud computing technologies and capabilities. It is an open community with the goal of sharing best practices in a non-sales environment.
Launched in February 2016 by Karina Homme, Azure Government, Microsoft; and Vishwas Lele, CTO of AIS and Microsoft Azure MVP, the community hosts monthly meetups that draw an average of 80-100 government and industry attendees. We also livestream our events to reach those outside of the DC-metro area.
Currently, the Azure Gov DC User Community comprises 2,220+ members and is growing! We invite you to visit our site www.meetup.com/DCAzureGov/ to learn more and join us.
