The Azure Government team is pleased to announce our new Azure Government Channel on YouTube. This video library is easily searchable on YouTube and is also now linked directly from our Azure Government Blog. The Azure Government video library was originally hosted on Channel9, but was migrated to YouTube in 2018.
This video library will contain many helpful videos to get you up and running with Azure Government. Currently, we have several videos published from the recent Microsoft Tech Summit conference in DC. If you missed the Tech Summit, our video library is the #1 place to go to catch up on all the content you may have missed. We will also be posting short quick-start screencast videos to help developers get productive with Azure Government quickly and easily.
Below you can review all the delivered session from the Microsoft Tech Summit in DC.

Building a Secure and Compliant app on Azure Government
Presenters: Zach Kramer and Steve Michelotti Azure Government provides an increased level of security and compliance to US Government and Public Sector agencies. This includes FedRAMP and DoD compliance certifications, CJIS agreements, HIPAA compliance, and more. But deploying code to Azure Government doesn’t automatically make it secure — developers also have responsibility to write secure code. This demo-heavy session will show to build a secure and compliant application on Azure Government utilizing several PaaS components including Azure AD, Key Vault, App Service and more! |
|
Azure Government Security + Differentiation
Presenter: Matt Rathbun Microsoft has a long-term commitment to the promise of enabling digital transformation across global government. Meeting CJIS, FedRAMP and DOD regulations is a key part of this ongoing dedication to meet the needs of federal, urban, regional, and state governments and law enforcement agencies in the U.S. Microsoft is an industry leader across hyper-scale cloud providers in helping agencies achieve compliance. Hear how Microsoft’s enterprise solutions can help you be more successful, more productive and add value to your IT organization in today’s digital transformation landscape. |

Leveraging Open Source on Azure Government
Presenter: Steve Michelotti In an increasingly fast-paced world, organizations are constantly looking for ways to streamline their development processes. The government in particular has embraced open source technology as a means to speed development, enable re-use, and reduce costs to taxpayers. This demo-heavy session will show numerous examples (Red Hat, Docker and others) of leveraging open source technology on Azure Government to maximize development productivity. |
|
Enhancing Government Services Through Advanced Analytics
Presenter: Ted Malone Data is all around us, and it is becoming increasingly hard to abstract relevant insights from our data that lead to intelligent action. In this session, attendees will be introduced to the Microsoft Cortana Intelligence Suite of advanced analytics capabilities, and will see how raw data can be transformed into actionable insight that is used to save lives. At the core of this presentation is the recent White House “call to action” around traffic fatalities. During this highly interactive and demonstration-focsued session, we will introduce the problem presented and walk through the solution built using the Microsoft Data Platform. |

Getting Beyond Lift-and-Shift on Azure Government
Presenter: Steve Michelotti Management wants you to move your solutions to the cloud. But if you simply lift-and-shift, you are missing out on tremendous opportunities to increase scalability and optimize resources, while decreasing time and costs. Over the course of this demo-heavy session, we will take an existing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) app running on Azure Government and show how we can migrate it to Platform as a Service (PaaS) so you can more fully reap the benefits of the cloud. |
