Brian Tirch

CISO, Microsoft Federal Civilian

Brian Tirch has over 20 years of IT experience working in many roles throughout his career. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in computer networking and is working on his master’s cyber security. Brian has been a contributing author and technical editor for several books over the years and holds several industry certifications. Throughout his career Brian has worked for several companies as a solutions architect before joining Microsoft in 2010. Brian has held several roles inside of Microsoft over his ten-year starting out as an infrastructure Architect in the Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) before taking the CTO position for Microsoft’s Homeland Security Division where he worked with senior leaders in DHS and DOJ to achieve business and technical outcomes. After his CTO role Brian became the Microsoft Federal Civilian CISO where he works across the entire Federal Civilian business supporting agency CISO’s to improve their cyber security posture.
