Welcome to the September release of the Azure SDK. We’ve updated the following libraries:

Azure SDK for C++
- The Azure SDK for C++ has the following initial preview releases: Key Vault Secrets (version 4.0) and Storage Queues (version 12.0).
Azure SDK for Go
- Azure SDK for Go released previews for Identity (version 0.11.0) and Tables (version 0.1.0).

Release Supportability

Azure SDK Python packages support for Python 2.7 is ending January 1, 2022
- The Python Software Foundation (PSF) community announced the end of support of Python 2. Beginning January 1, 2020, “no new bug reports, fixes, or changes will be made to Python 2, and Python 2 is no longer supported.” Starting on January 1, 2022, Azure SDK Python packages will no longer support Python 2.7. To continue to get new features and security updates, make sure to update your Python runtime to Python 3.7+.
- Recommended action: To avoid any potential issues in your applications, we recommend all developers upgrade to Python 3 as soon as you can. Read the official “Porting Python 2 Code to Python 3” guide and the Python 3 Statement Practicalities with more detailed information.
- Help and support: If you have questions, get answers from community experts on Stack Overflow. If you have issues, open an issue in the SDK repository on GitHub.
Azure SDK JavaScript packages support for Node.js 8 ended June 30, 2021
- From July 2021 onward, updated JavaScript libraries dropped support for Node.js 8, which reached end of life in January 2020. For more details, please see our support policy.
