Outlook REST API v2.0 and beta deprecation update

Microsoft 365 Platform team

In November 2020, we published a blog for our developer community and another for IT Pros, announcing our plan to deprecate the Outlook REST API v2.0 & beta endpoints.

Based on customer signals and feedback from multiple partners working through this change, we have decided to push the deprecation deadline to a further date not yet defined.

Please note that our team is actively working to define a new date which will be announced on this same blog/media. We advise our users to continue with their migration efforts since the target for the new deprecation date will still be in 2023. We will provide a 6 months’ notice period before enforcing the block on the endpoint.

Please refer to: https://docs.microsoft.com/outlook/rest/compare-graph#moving-from-outlook-endpoint-to-microsoft-graph as a starting point if you are just starting your migration journey.

Thanks for coming with us on our journey as we work to improve productivity for everyone, and please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns by raising a support ticket using https://admin.microsoft.com/ or asking a question in the public forums at https://aka.ms/askGraph.
