OData property changes to Microsoft 365 usage reports API in Microsoft Graph

With Microsoft Graph, you can access Microsoft 365 usage reports resources to get information about how people in your business are using Microsoft 365 services. Beginning the week of October 25, 2021, there will be some OData property changes to the Microsoft 365 usage reports.

Impacted APIs include Microsoft 365 usage reports API with JSON response in the in Microsoft Graph beta endpoint. For details, see Working with Microsoft 365 usage reports in Microsoft Graph – Microsoft Graph beta | Microsoft Docs.

These changes do not have any effect on usage-related properties. Please take into consideration the following OData properties during your development.

Change 1: @odata.context property in API response will be omitted

This change will affect all Microsoft 365 usage reports APIs with the exception of the Microsoft 365 Apps usage reports API. The property has already been omitted in the Microsoft 365 Apps usage reports API.

Change 2: @odata.nextLink property will be omitted if there is no next link available

This change will only affect the Microsoft 365 Apps usage reports API. Currently @odata.nextLink is set to null if there is no next link. Going forward, the property will be omitted for this API. The other Microsoft 365 usage reports APIs already have this rule applied.
