In order to provide the best-in-class encryption to our customers, all Microsoft products/services are in the process of deprecating Transport Layer Security (TLS) versions 1.0 and 1.1.
Beginning August 5, 2020, Microsoft Graph Service will stop supporting clients that use TLS 1.0/1.1 in US Government Clouds (Endpoints: https://graph.microsoft.us & https://dod-graph.microsoft.us).
ACTION REQUIRED: Update your Microsoft Graph clients in US Gov Cloud to TLS 1.2 by 8/5/2020 to ensure that you maintain uninterrupted access to Microsoft Graph Service.
More Information:
For our commercial/worldwide public cloud customers using Microsoft Graph service, deprecation enforcement of TLS 1.0 and 1.1 will be announced at a later date and will be coordinated with Office 365 timelines.
The Microsoft TLS 1.0 implementation has no known security vulnerabilities. But because of the potential for future protocol downgrade attacks and other TLS vulnerabilities, we are discontinuing support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 in Microsoft Graph Service.
For information about how to remove TLS 1.0 and 1.1 dependencies, see the following white paper: Solving the TLS 1.0 problem.
