Visual Studio 2010 ALM Tools Live Roadshow Double Feature!

Come join Microsoft and ALM Partner of the year Imaginet as we present the Visual Studio 2010 Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools and how they can be used in a variety of real-world scenarios. These events cover two different topic areas – stay for both to maximize your learning!

Morning Event: ALM for Agile Development

· Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Managing Your Software Lifecycle 9:00-9:45am

This overview of Visual Studio 2010 Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools describes what “ALM” means and shows how the breadth of Microsoft tools that support it: requirements and design, development, test, deploy, and all points in between.

· Scrum and Agile Management using Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 10:00-11:00am

Microsoft Visual Studio tools have embraced not only Agile development in general but also Scrum in specific. This session will discuss and demonstrate how the tools from Microsoft and the community can be used to successfully manage agile software development projects.

· Agile Development using Visual Studio’s ALM tools 11:15-12:15pm

Agile Development is about more than managing backlogs. This session will demonstrate the Microsoft tools which can be improve your development practices, including Unit Testing, Automated Builds, and more!

· Summary and Q&A 12:15-12:30pm

Afternoon Event: Full Testing Experience

· Test Planning and Traceability with Microsoft Test Manager 1:00-1:45pm

With Visual Studio 2010, Microsoft has invested heavily in making quality assurance first class members of the development team. This session will discuss and demonstrate how development teams can plan, author, and verify systems. It will also should requirements traceability, reporting and defect tracking.

· Automating User Interface and Load Testing with Visual Studio 2:00-3:00pm

One of the holy grails for many test organizations is automating tests to make testing faster and easier. This session will show how to create, execute, and manage automated UI tests.

· Automating Build, Deploy and Test in a virtual Test Lab 3:15-4:15pm

Once you have a test plan and have automated UI tests, the final step is pulling it all together. This session will demonstrate how to use the lab management features of TFS to easily manage test labs. Then we’ll build upon that to show how the test lab can be managed through TFS for automated deployment, test execution, and more!

· Summary and Q&A 4:15-4:30pm
