I’m getting ready to head out to Microsoft Connect 2018 next week, but before I go, I wanted to share with you some of the great stories from the Microsoft DevOps community.
Azure DevOps Status Service We have a new status page for the Azure DevOps services! In the past, if we had a service interruption it was hard to know where to find information and understand how that information affected you. Now we think it’s much easier, showing the status of each component service in each geographical region.
Introducing the Chocolatey Azure DevOps Extension Gary Ewan Park has created a Chocolatey Extension for Azure DevOps, making it easier to use as part of your Azure Pipelines build. If you’re using Chocolatey as part of your build, this will improve your experience by showing you the inputs to each command.
Big changes in Azure DevOps Server 2019 – Inherited Processes Process Inheritance comes to the on-premises Azure DevOps Server 2019; Matteo Emili takes a look at it and shows how customizations can be made easily in the UI instead of using the old process customization functionality.
Managing multiple teams in Azure DevOps Panu Oksala shows how you can set up multiple teams to help organize your areas and work item boards, keeping the views for your tasks nice and tidy and letting you focus on your work.
Roslyn: Move VS integration tests to Azure Dev Ops This pull request moves the last bit of the Roslyn compiler’s build and test infrastructure off a custom Jenkins setup and on to a simple Azure Pipelines configuration. This is particularly notable because Roslyn has a truly insane number of tests – over 450,000 run during every pull request build.
As always, if you’ve written an article about Azure DevOps or find some great content about DevOps on Azure then let me know! I’m @ethomson on Twitter.
