Taking advantage of the existing notification infrastructure of Android devices, Xamarin.Android apps don&#8217;t need to do anything to have notifications show up on the Android Wear emulators.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2019\/04\/reservation_animated.gif\" alt=\"Android Wear Stream\" width=\"374\" height=\"374\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10029\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Putting to use the unique features of the Android Wear SDK allows developers to create and stack multiple notifications, receive voice input (although not enabled in their current developer preview) and create notification pages to display useful information to the wearer.<\/p>\n<p>The developer preview is currently <a href=\"http:\/\/developer.android.com\/wear\/preview\/start.html\">sign up only<\/a>, but once you get access to the developer preview, follow <a href=\"http:\/\/developer.android.com\/wear\/preview\/start.html#install\">steps 1 to 3 on the Google documentation<\/a> to get the Android Wear system installed. Then use our fresh <a href=\"https:\/\/components.xamarin.com\/view\/androidwearpreview\" target=\"_blank\">Xamarin Component for Android Wear<\/a> to add this into your Xamarin.Android apps based on the bundled sample.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/developer.android.com\/wear\/preview\/start.html#install\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9970\" alt=\"Xamarin And Android Wear\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2019\/04\/screen_watch4.png\" width=\"332\" height=\"392\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>As this is a developer preview, this should only be used for development and testing purposes.
