The Xamarin documentation<\/a> is the best source of information for building apps with Xamarin and Xamarin.Forms. Follow the quickstart<\/a> to build your first Android or iOS app with Xamarin.Forms. Then complete the tutorials<\/a> to learn more about common mobile app concepts.\n \n\"Docs\n \nThe docs also contain in-depth coverage of the Xamarin.Forms, Android, iOS, and Mac SDKs. These help you access the native features of all those platforms.\n <\/p>\n

What’s New with Xamarin Docs?<\/h2>\n

Every month the team puts together a summary of docs updates<\/a>. August marked the release of Xamarin.Forms 4.2<\/a> and ten new Xamarin.Forms user interface docs<\/a>. As well as various updates, including a page refresh (or two!) to help with discoverability.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Xamarin also featured the new Microsoft sample code browser<\/a> in this launch:\n \n\"Docs\n <\/p>\n

All the Release Notes!<\/h2>\n

The site also contains the release notes for all Xamarin products<\/a>. The Xamarin.Essentials team recently launched version 1.3 and migrated their release notes<\/a> to this format:\n \n\"Docs\n <\/p>\n

Contribute to Docs<\/h2>\n

Like the Xamarin SDKs<\/a>, the documentation is also open source. This means that anyone can contribute to documentation by submitting a pull request on GitHub.<\/p>\n
