Last June, Apple started requiring Apps on the macOS App Store to be 64-bit only and macOS 10.13.4 and above prompt when launching 32-bit applications.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-44565\" src=\"http:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/xamarin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2019\/06\/macos-mojave-32-bit-app-alert.jpg\" alt=\"Apple Notification\" width=\"500\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/xamarin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2019\/06\/macos-mojave-32-bit-app-alert.jpg 840w, https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/xamarin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2019\/06\/macos-mojave-32-bit-app-alert-300x121.jpg 300w, https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/xamarin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2019\/06\/macos-mojave-32-bit-app-alert-768x311.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Apple Transitions to 64-bit<\/h3>\n<p>This fall in macOS 10.15 (Catalina), Apple is completing their transition to <strong>64-bit only<\/strong> by <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT208436\">removing 32-bit support from macOS<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>32-bit applications will not launch on macOS 10.15 (Catalina).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Though new Xamarin.Mac applications target 64-bit by default, <strong>any existing Xamarin.Mac applications that target 32-bit must be migrated to 64-bit<\/strong> to continue working in the future.
