The entire team has been working hard on this release for over a year to bring you the <a href=\"http:\/\/developer.xamarin.com\/guides\/cross-platform\/macios\/unified\/\" title=\"Unified API Documentation\">Unified API<\/a> with 64-bit support. Please note that <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.apple.com\/news\/?id=12172014b\" title=\"Apple announcement for 64-bit support\">Apple announced two important deadlines<\/a> for when your app must include 64-bit support:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>February 1st: New iOS app submissions<\/li>\n<li>June 1st: All new and existing iOS app submissions or updates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Updated Components and Libraries<\/h2>\n<p>We are rolling out updates for official Xamarin <a href=\"http:\/\/components.xamarin.com\" title=\"Xamarin Component Store\">Components<\/a> and NuGet packages with support for the Unified API. If you are a library creator and have not updated your component or NuGet package yet, please do so as soon as possible so that app publishers have time to migrate and test apps before Apple&#8217;s February 1st deadline. \u00a0Check out Matt Ward&#8217;s <a href=\"\/how-to-update-nuget-packages-for-64-bit\/\" title=\"Updating NuGets to Unified API\">blog post on how to update your library<\/a> for the new Unified API.<\/p>\n<h2>Get Started Today<\/h2>\n<p>You can begin migrating your apps today by using our built in migration assistant for both Xamarin Studio and Visual Studio.
