You can find the Visual Studio and .NET release announcements on <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/archive\/blogs\/somasegar\/\">Soma&#8217;s blog<\/a>. We\u2019re pretty early on in development, but wanted to start to show some of the new features we\u2019re thinking about and get feedback. To get started, <a href=\"http:\/\/go.microsoft.com\/fwlink\/p\/?LinkId=400850\">download<\/a>the CTP (also available on <a href=\"http:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/subscriptions\/downloads\/default.aspx?pv=18:559#searchTerm=&amp;ProductFamilyId=559&amp;Languages=en&amp;PageSize=10&amp;PageIndex=0&amp;FileId=0\">MSDN subscriber downloads<\/a>). Alternatively, save some time and use the provided <a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/visual-studio-2015-preview-now-available-in-the-virtual-machine-azure-gallery\/\">VM in Azure<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This Visual Studio \u201c14\u201d CTP brings together several new technologies that we recently announced including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/roslyn.codeplex.com\/\">.NET Compiler Platform<\/a>, also known as \u201cRoslyn,\u201d which includes the upcoming version of our managed compilers for C# and VB as well as an API that enables developers to integrate with the VS compiler and language service more easily than they can today. You can read more about the .NET Compiler Platform on the <a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/vbteam\/visual-studio-14-ctp-now-available\/\">C#<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/vbteam\/visual-studio-14-ctp-now-available\/\">VB<\/a> team blogs.<\/li>\n<li>Updates to the Visual C++ Standard Library, added utility functions, manipulators, functions, and several bug fixes that will improve productivity. ASP.NET vNext is a lean and composable .NET stack for building modern web applications for both cloud and on premises servers. You should install the CTP on a test environment, such as a VM or clean machine. Please make sure that there are no earlier versions of Visual Studio on the machine to avoid known side by side issues. This <a href=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/kb\/2967191\">KB article<\/a> has a list of the known issues and installation requirements.<\/p>\n<p>As always, please give us feedback.
