If you\u2019re already using the Visual Studio for Mac Preview release, use the <strong>Visual Studio &gt; Check for Updates\u2026<\/strong> menu to update. You can check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/vsmac-preview-release-notes\">preview release notes<\/a> to learn about all of the changes we\u2019ve made.<\/p>\n<h2>Top issues fixed in this release<\/h2>\n<p>Each release we focus on fixing some of the top items reported to us on the Developer Community site. In this release, some of the top issues include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/developercommunity.visualstudio.com\/t\/The-whole-IDE-disappears-sometimes-when-\/10048045\">The whole IDE disappears sometimes when starting the debugger<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/developercommunity.visualstudio.com\/t\/Cannot-switch-branches\/10042230\">Cannot switch branches<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/developercommunity.visualstudio.com\/t\/When-tracking-a-git-branch-it-should-def\/10016425\">When tracking a git branch it should default the tracking to the selected branch<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/developercommunity.visualstudio.com\/t\/Blank-screen-is-shown-when-building-with\/10048794\">Blank screen is shown when building with compile errors<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/developercommunity.visualstudio.com\/t\/Problem-rendering-Find-results-when-usin\/10014417\">Problem rendering Find results when using nested (Hierarchal?) view<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/developercommunity.visualstudio.com\/t\/Cant-Build-a-NET-MAUI-iOS-Solution---w\/10061642\">Can&#8217;t Build a .NET MAUI iOS Solution &#8211; works via CLI<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>.NET MAUI improvements<\/h2>\n<p>In Visual Studio for Mac v17.3 Preview 1 we introduced support for .NET MAUI development. To get started with it, you should download the Preview installer and choose the .NET MAUI workload to install templates and required dependencies.<\/p>\n<p>New in v17.3 Preview 2, we\u2019ve now added support for New File (Item) templates. To use these, right-click on your .NET MAUI project or folders in that project and choose the <strong>Add &gt; New File\u2026<\/strong> menu.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, we\u2019ve made some fixes to the Apple Authentication flow for provisioning your iOS apps. You can now connect your account using your App Store Connect API key. To add an Apple account, use the <strong>Visual Studio &gt; Preferences\u2026 &gt; Apple Developer Accounts<\/strong> menu.
