We\u2019ve added new document management capabilities so navigating tabs and organizing your workspace has become more flexible. <a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/visualstudio\/personalize-your-visual-studio-2022\/\">Take a look at our other Personalization capabilities<\/a>, such as more flexible theming options, in one of our previous blog posts. Today, we\u2019d like to share some new doc management capabilities such as multi-row tabs, restore recent documents, and show names of docs that are not visible in italics.<\/p>\n<h2>Arrange tabs in multiple rows<\/h2>\n<p>We&#8217;ve added the capability to wrap tabs into multiple rows <a href=\"https:\/\/developercommunity.visualstudio.com\/t\/Support-multiple-rows-of-document-tabs\/351238?space=8&amp;sort=votes&amp;q=tab\">based on community request<\/a>, so you can have more horizontal tabs open at a time.\nPinned tabs will show in a separate row from unpinned tabs. This is an overall improvement to accessibility and consistency with other products in the Visual Studio family, <a href=\"https:\/\/developercommunity.visualstudio.com\/t\/Modify-Dirty-Indicator-on-Document-Well\/477174?space=8&amp;sort=votes\">and a highly requested item in the community<\/a>. You can revert to the familiar asterisk via Tools &gt; Options &gt; Tabs and Windows &gt; Modify Dirty Indicator.<\/p>\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_238345\" aria-labelledby=\"figcaption_attachment_238345\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" ><a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/visualstudio\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/05\/Dot-Dirty-Indicator.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-238345\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/visualstudio\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/05\/Dot-Dirty-Indicator.png\" alt=\"Modified dirty dot indicator\" width=\"476\" height=\"131\" srcset=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/visualstudio\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/05\/Dot-Dirty-Indicator.png 476w, https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/visualstudio\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/05\/Dot-Dirty-Indicator-300x83.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 476px) 100vw, 476px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"figcaption_attachment_238345\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Modified dirty dot indicator<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<h2>Restore recent documents<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/developercommunity.visualstudio.com\/t\/Reopen-closed-tab\/402931?space=8&amp;q=restore+closed+tab\">We\u2019ve heard your request<\/a> to make it easier to restore documents that you\u2019ve last opened, similar to a browser\u2019s behavior.\nYou can now re-open the last tab you closed by right-clicking on a tab, using the Ctrl+K, Ctrl+Z keyboard shortcut, or navigating to the menu item under Window &gt; Restore Closed Tab.
