Many of you take advantage of the side-by-side support for Visual Studio and have multiple versions of Visual Studio installed simultaneously. In 17.3 Preview 1, we\u2019ve made it easier to update <strong>all<\/strong> of your side-by-side versions of Visual Studio with a <strong>single<\/strong> click of the new \u201cUpdate all\u201d button on the installer. So, you can quickly kick off the updates, go for a cup of tea, and when you return, all of your installations will have been updated with the latest goodness that Visual Studio has to offer.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1227\" height=\"641\" class=\"wp-image-237821\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/visualstudio\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/05\/word-image.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/visualstudio\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/05\/word-image.png 1227w, https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/visualstudio\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/05\/word-image-300x157.png 300w, https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/visualstudio\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/05\/word-image-1024x535.png 1024w, https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/visualstudio\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/05\/word-image-768x401.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1227px) 100vw, 1227px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The feature can be found in the Visual Studio Installer, just above the list of installed Visual Studio instances. It\u2019ll only be visible if more than one instance of Visual Studio is available \u2013 so don\u2019t worry if you don\u2019t see it!<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve started an Update all, you will have the option to cancel the ongoing operation by pressing the \u201cPause\u201d button. If any warnings are encountered during the update of one instance of Visual Studio the installer will continue to the next instance. However, if an error is encountered the update all process will stop and can\u2019t be resumed until the error is fixed.<\/p>\n<p>If you encounter an issue in installing Visual Studio you can provide feedback using the built-in feedback tool.
