{"id":5583,"date":"2007-08-24T20:40:00","date_gmt":"2007-08-24T20:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.msdn.microsoft.com\/vbteam\/2007\/08\/24\/microsoft-visual-basic-2005-power-packs-2-0-now-available\/"},"modified":"2024-07-05T14:41:45","modified_gmt":"2024-07-05T21:41:45","slug":"microsoft-visual-basic-2005-power-packs-2-0-now-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/vbteam\/microsoft-visual-basic-2005-power-packs-2-0-now-available\/","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 Power Packs 2.0 now available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In case you didn&#8217;t see the <a class=\"\" title=\"links\" href=\"http:\/\/msdn2.microsoft.com\/en-us\/vbasic\/bb735936.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">links<\/a> go live on the <a class=\"\" title=\"Visual Basic Developer Center\" href=\"http:\/\/msdn2.microsoft.com\/en-us\/vbasic\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Visual Basic Developer Center<\/a> the VB Off-Cycle team has shipped the latest <span>edition <\/span>of the <a class=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/msdn2.microsoft.com\/en-us\/vbasic\/bb735936.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Power Pack controls<\/a>.&nbsp; You can download them from&nbsp;<a class=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/msdn2.microsoft.com\/en-us\/vbasic\/bb735936.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In this update we&#8217;ve added the much anticipated Line and Shape controls.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\" border=\"0\"><\/p>\n<p>The line and shape controls give you drag and drop ease at design time and great performance at runtime.&nbsp; By simply setting a few properties you can accomplish complex gradient fills.&nbsp; An improvement over the VB6 version of Line and Shape is we&#8217;ve added support for Events.&nbsp; These are fully supported by Microsoft as part of your Visual Basic support agreement, and will likely be rolled into the product in future releases.&nbsp; Remember if you have ideas for future Power Packs go to the <span><a class=\"\" title=\"Visual Basic 2005 Power Pack Suggestion Center\" href=\"http:\/\/connect.microsoft.com\/vbasic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Visual Basic 2005 Power Pack Suggestion Center<\/a>&nbsp;and let us know about it.&nbsp; You can log new idea or <a class=\"\" title=\"vote\" href=\"https:\/\/connect.microsoft.com\/vbasic\/feedback\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vote<\/a> for ones already there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This release also includes updates to the&nbsp;PrintForm component and the Printer Compatibility Library.
