Today is an exciting day for our customers worldwide, for the Developer Division at Microsoft and for me. As some of you are probably aware, TechEd Europe begins today, June 29th 2004, in Amsterdam. We made a set of exciting announcements at this event including availability of Visual Studio 2005 Beta1.
Right now, we are 446 hours away from the Imagine Cup announcement of the 2004 winners. This is the second annual Imagine Cup contest currently under way. For those of you who haven’t heard about this, Imagine Cup is a technology contest that provides an outlet for students to explore their technological and artistic interests outside the classroom.
Earlier this week I had the opportunity to talk at the Microsoft VBA Technical Partner Summit. We basically hosted about 100+ Visual Basic for Application ISV partners (some on-site and some online who participated through Microsoft Live Meeting). Some of these partners were participating from Europe and it was interesting to see that late into the evening in Redmond (must have been the wee hours in Europe),
First of all, I want to thank the dozens of people (well-wishers) who sent me super encouraging mails welcoming me to the blogging world. I should confess that I was reasonably nervous about my first blog posting, but all the words of encouragement did wonders for me.
