Today, they have finally shipped and are available to consumers, but you won&#8217;t find these yet on retail sales shelves.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/windowsxp\/64bit\/default.mspx\">Windows XP Professional x64 Edition<\/a> is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/windowsxp\/64bit\/howtobuy\/default.mspx\">available<\/a> on x64 machines now, and users with x64 machines now can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/windowsxp\/64bit\/upgrade\/default.mspx\">exchange<\/a> their 32-bit Windows XP for the x64 edition. You may also obtain this through the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/products\/info\/product.aspx?view=22&amp;type=ovr&amp;pcid=2abf99cd-a5e4-469c-802e-55ca8ec542d5\">Microsoft Product Information Center<\/a> or our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/licensing\/contact\/default.mspx\">Volume Licensing<\/a> program for 5 or more computers. If you&#8217;re a developing thinking about or already planning on targeting XP x64 be sure to check out the Windows XP Professional x64 Edition <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/windowsxp\/expertzone\/communities\/x64.mspx\">community portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/windowsserver2003\/64bit\/x64\/default.mspx\">Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions<\/a> are also <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/windowsserver2003\/howtobuy\/default.mspx\">available<\/a> on x64 machines now, but you may <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/windowsserver2003\/howtobuy\/purchasing\/default.mspx\">purchase<\/a> them through Microsoft and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/windowsserver2003\/howtobuy\/purchasing\/dmrslars.mspx\">registered resellers<\/a>. You may also visit the Windows Server 2003 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/windowsserver2003\/community\/default.mspx\">community portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure that before you upgrade you check driver availability for components in your system.
