I hope everyone had a marvelous weekend and is planning on an awesome week. I have been working on some of the last of the preparations for PowerShell Saturday #010<\/a> coming up in less than a month (March 19) in Tampa, FL. There are still seats available, so you have time to register<\/a>. As a special favor to me, if you plan to attend, the quicker you sign up, the faster I know how many are attending and I can order the correct amount of food.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a little background (in case you are interested) about how we fund these events\u2026<\/p>\n

First of all, the organizers and speakers are all volunteer, no one is being paid to put this together or to come and speak. The costs all evolves from the facility and incidentals. For example, we need insurance to hold an event, and we have general costs such as printing schedules and name tags.<\/p>\n

After that we like to provide some things for the attendees, like food and drinks, parking, and giveaways. This is where sponsors and the Eventbrite registration fees come in. We charged 15 dollars for this event and Eventbrite added $1.37 to provide registration service. This means that each attendee is charged $16.37 to attend.
