Well, the Scripting Wife and I basically took a “down day” yesterday. I had a lot of work I needed to get done, and she snoozed a bit. I needed to complete the page proofs for two chapters of my new Windows PowerShell 3.0 Step by Step book<\/a> that is coming out soon on Microsoft Press. I also took the opportunity to write a couple of Hey, Scripting Guy! blog posts, play with Windows PowerShell, sip some excellent tea, and listen to the Allen Parsons Project on my Zune. Yep, all in all it was a great day.<\/p>\n

We were able to get out and take some pictures. Here is a pretty cool picture of the harbor (actually, there are lots of harbors here). This particular one is where there are tourist boats offering a harbor cruise.<\/p>\n

Stockholm is a beautiful city, and “normal” buildings are awe-inspiring monumental types of architecture. Here is one such building … way cool, if I do say so.<\/p>\n

We were lucky and got an upgraded room at our hotel. From our window, we have a great view. Here, take a look for yourself.<\/p>\n

As you can see from the above pictures, this has been a very nice day in Stockholm. I love the different colored buildings, the clean lines, and the terrific spires.<\/p>\n

Tonight, I am speaking at the Stockholm Windows PowerShell User Group<\/a>. We get to meet my good virtual friend Niklas Goude. We met Niklas two years ago at the MVP summit in Seattle, and we are looking forward to seeing him again. I am talking about new remoting features in Windows 8 and Windows PowerShell 3.0. It will be a really cool talk. If you are anywhere near Stockholm, we would love to see you.<\/p>\n
